Andrew concentrates his practice on bankruptcy and insurance coverage disputes, with a particular focus on representing insurers in bankruptcy proceedings and advising on the impact of bankruptcy on insurance obligations. He also represents clients in bankruptcy matters involving federal oil and gas leases, federal mineral interests, royalties, and related regulatory obligations.

Andrew helps insurers navigate the intersection of bankruptcy and insurance law—from the application of the automatic stay to coverage disputes, defense and indemnity obligations, claims administration, and insurance assets and proceeds. His federal oil and gas practice focuses on the unique bankruptcy issues affecting federal leases and mineral interests, including the treatment of federal oil and gas leases in bankruptcy, assumption and rejection issues, royalties, regulatory obligations, and the intersection of the Bankruptcy Code with federal leasing requirements.

Andrew previously served as Attorney Advisor and National Bankruptcy Coordinator for the U.S. Department of the Interior, where he advised federal agencies on bankruptcy matters involving federal mineral leases, oil and gas royalties, and federal environmental requirements. This experience gives him a unique perspective on the intersection of bankruptcy law, federal leasing requirements, and the government's interests in energy-related bankruptcy cases.

Before entering private practice, Andrew served as a law clerk to the Bankruptcy Appellate Panel for the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals, assisting appellate judges in reviewing bankruptcy court decisions from six states. Following law school, he served as a law clerk to the Hon. Randy D. Doub in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina.

Andrew is admitted to practice in Colorado, North Carolina, and Tennessee. He is a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute, Claims and Litigation Management Alliance, and the Turnaround Management Association..
